The aim of this conference is to bring together BA and MA students from the field of social and behavioral sciences for debating the problem of social and psychological changings in the contemporary society. The big economic crisis which began in 2008 has multiple psycho-social consequences that invite young researchers to analysis and reflection. What are the psychological effects of the crisis? What are the effects in the area of labor market? What are effects on vulnerable groups? What are the key social problems in the new social reality? What is the role played by the education and what effects did education reform produce in the contemporary society? These would be just a few of the questions meant to stir the scientific debate. Possible themes are:

•    The Reform of Education in contemporary society
•    Migration, ethnicity and transnationalism
•    Youth cultures
•    Politics and society
•    Education, culture and social inequalities

The students’ researches can be presented either as papers or posters.
The registration of the papers will be open, on-line, on the Conference website http://socioumane.ro/blog/studconf2012/ between April 5th and April 30th 2012
